For now, our congregation meets at College Heights Chapel on Main St. (next to Far East restaurant). Until September 14, our Sunday morning schedule is:
Beginning September 21, our new schedule will be:
During the fall of 2008, we’ll also launch a number of small groups meeting in homes around Rutherford County. These gatherings of 8-12 people will meet at least monthly for Bible study, fellowship, prayer, encouragement, activities, ministry and outreach. These groups will foster what the Greeks called koininia, or fellowship – a sharing of lives that helps people draw closer to each other by drawing closer to Christ together.
Another change for this fall: our AWANA program moves to Sunday evenings from 5:30 – 7:30. This is an outstanding program for ages 2-12, with games, Bible memory, special events like Grand Prix and campouts, and lots of fun. Please call 890-2004, ext. 3 for more information.
Our music program is blended – while we love the rich history of hymns, we recognize that today’s songwriters write and sing about the same God in ways that appeal to a contemporary audience. We’re not about performance; our congregation becomes a choir as we honor God with our musical worship. A typical Sunday morning will have us singing a variety of music using many instruments. We might sing a contemporary hymn with piano only, and a classic gospel song with guitars and drums. Two sample song sets might be:
At Calvary Jesus Shall Reign Where’er the Sun
Heaven Came Down & Glory Filled My Soul Holy God, We Praise Thy Name
Oh, How I Love Jesus My Savior’s Love (I Stand Amazed)
Worthy is the Lamb Wonderful, Merciful Savior
How Great Is Our God Hallelujah! (Your Love is Amazing)
Once Again Your Love, O Lord
